Very Slow Motion Webcam

Or if you prefer, a very long game of Spot the Difference (though I can't promise there'll be ten differences each time...)

 20 November 2012
Scaffolding still off.  Ah yes, and a subtle but important change: the zinc rim on the top of the extension has been added. So we are now watertight.

29 October 2012
Scaffolding off!

28 September 2012
The top of facade has had its final coat; meanwhile, the lower half needs to be re-done in places, since the rendering was uneven...

6 September 2012
The rear facade now covered in rendering.

31 August 2012
Suddenly we have glass! and insulation!
24 August 2012
At long last, some progress in the insulation and plastering of the rear facade - starting from the top.

30 July 2012
Scaffolding!

29 July 2012
Windows! At least the frames...

16 June 2012
No change (at least not from this angle; this week the roof has been insulated and the water pipes installed).

1 June 2012
You can just see the electric wiring, and the skylights have also gone in.

19 May 2012
Blue sky!

20 April 2012
You can just about see the tiles on the roof have been removed. Most importantly, the neighbour's metal faux-terrace has been dismantled.

 7 April 2012
Chimney rebuilt, rubble cleared.

30 March 2012
Changes this week include the wooden structure and steel girders for the kitchen roof, bays for the new windows (you can see the difference in the top left window), and a man in the roof doing a reccie on the chimney.

 21 March 2012
The back structure looks much the same, but look closely and you'll see the top windows have been taken out, and some of the roof tiles have been removed.

15 March 2012
The opening of the kitchen window, at dusk.

 9 March 2012
The beginnings of the kitchen walls.

  3 March 2012
The walls of the new garden room rise up from under the tarpaulin. With the blind removed, the sitting room is open to the elements.

  25 February 2012
The blue tarpaulin is still up, but underneath the foundations and concrete floor have been laid.  You can also see the blind has been pulled down where the sitting room window has been taken out.

 18 February 2012
Can't reach the end of the garden!  So exceptionally, you have a view from above. The snow has melted to reveal the rubble underneath, while under the blue canopy, the foundations of the new kitchen extension are being dug.

4 February 2012
Boom!  This time you don't need me to point out the differences...

27 January 2012
No more handrail, or outside light and wiring! (or back door for that matter, but you can't see that)

18 December 2011
Nothing like a ray of wintery sunshine to bring out the wet patches.

26 November 2011
Still standing, just a bit soggier...

29 October 2011
Garden covered in a layer of compost and old lino, to protect the topsoil from buidlers rubble.  Should there ever be builders' rubble...

25 September 2011
Ivy pulled off from the right hand wall. And the sun is still shining.

3 September 2011
Eagle eyes will see tiles scattered, front right, salvaged for possible future use as paving stones in the garden.

21 August 2011
Told you the changes would be subtle...  Here we have some weedkilling action.  Happily the wonkey chimney hasn't moved.  Has it?

15 August 2011
More rubble cleared from garden and kitchen window ledge; Bindweed hoop traps; Chipping cement off old kitchen tiles... Oh, and is that a ray of sunshine?

24 July 2011
The brambles and sycamores have been removed and garden planted with green manure; Rubble from house and garden piled up.

(... and so passes a year....)

24 May 2010
A lot of the jungle already cleared, just some sycamores thinking they might yet escape the cull...
